January 2025 took a toll on the Los Angeles Area. Fourteen wildfires ravaged parts of LA, with the most devastating fires in Altadena and the Pacific Palisades. Our men and women in blue worked tirelessly to evacuate residents, provide extra patrols to the the fire area to prevent looting, and man checkpoints, ensuring Angelenos were safe and their property protected. Because of your support, the Los Angeles Police Foundation provided cash relief to the 30 LAPD employees who either lost their homes in the fires or who were displaced for the foreseeable future. Additional donations related to this disaster enabled us to provide necessary equipment for officers to respond to future wildfires and other critical incidents.
